I have been working as a freelance copy editor and proofreader since 2012, and as a developmental editor since 2018. I’m proficient in both AP and Chicago Manual styles, and I have worked at all levels, from basic proofreading to editing for non-native English speakers who required extensive rewording and restructuring.
I'm moving toward exclusively editing fiction, which I love, but I also have many years of experience in working with business and marketing copy. This can benefit fiction writers as well; I'm always happy to copy edit or proofread synopses, query letters, blogs, and website content.
As a fiction editor, I specialize in science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction. I provide free sample edits for novels or other longer works and use the sample to quote a rate/fee for the full edit.
